What an interesting week. I have hung out with high school friends more this past week than I have in the last 2 years. I certainly hope that this trend continues. I was thinking today that it was 4 years ago this summer thatwe all started hanging out in the first place. The guys were going into their senior year and the girls into their Junior year. its weird how things come full circle like that. Hope everyone has a great week. I turn 21 on July 17th!!!

Havent had a lot to update in a while but today was different. I AM FINALLY DRIVING AGAIN AFTER 3 AND A HALF YEARS!!!. I got my insurance and a car today. If anyone is ever in louisville and needs a DD give me a call becuase I owe everyone some driving time. A lot of driving time actually. Thats only if you feel safe being in a car with me. Its always a risk. Other than that school is fine. Im doing an internship this semester at an accounting firm for some experience. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Exactly three years ago today was the last time I drove a car. This marks the three year anniversary of losing my liscence and today the last accident that I had goes off of my record. Does that mean that I will be driving soon?? WE'll see. Just kinda funny when you think about it. Three years seems like a lifetime ago but it really isnt when you take it into context. well hello journal world. Wow how this place has changed. I am not sure why im am writing, but i guess its just because im bored and there is nothing to do at work. I hope everyone is doing well. I check these things on a daily basis but just never take the time to sit down and write one myself. I am doing fine in school. Grades are allright. I have one more final tomorrow morning and them i am done until my summer class starts in may. I will hopefully be getting an internship this summer so that means lots of $$$ but not a lot of time for friends. I will try to make an effort to be with my buds as much as possible. ive had the last couple of days off of work, which was really nice. WHat sucks is that i've had classes most of those days. Today was a lot of fun. Went up tpo breckenridge inn with tim and kenny and we hung out there for a few hours. Just trying to get some color on my pasty skin. Slowly but surely i am getting darker though. Some people thought i couldn't do it, but i'm gonna prove them wrong. Tonight my family is going out to dinner to celebrate my mom getting a new job at baptist east. Shes really excited, so thats good. After that i have to go back to breckenridge to do some inservice training. Apparently some of the guards haven't been doing their job like they;re supposed to, so we have to do this thing tonight. 9:30-11. Fun stuff. I don't think i'll go out after that because i have to be at work tomorrow morning at 7. Hope everyone has a great night.

I've been really busy lately. I have 3 jobs now. The bellarmine bookstore wants me to work some this summer. Not a lot, but possibly up to one day a week. thats fine with me, just means another paycheck. It kinda sucks working this much, but like i said, it keeps me busy. Thats a good thing i guess. Classes at bellarmine are going allright too i guess. The business law class is cake, but the accounting class is really bustin my balls. Don't get excited joel. Well, i'm gonna call it an early night because i have to work at 7 tomorrow morning. Damn old people for wanting to swim laps at 7 in the morning.

well, i'm still here. work has really picked up in the last week. i am now working about 40 hours a week, which is what i wanted. I really need to make some serious money this summer because, believe it or not, i hope to be driving again in the spring. THats right ladies and gentlmen, in less than a year johnny boy could be back on the road.
Other than work, school has been really busy. I'm going to school 3 nights a week trying to get enough hours for this damn double major. This had better turn out to be the right decision because right now it sucks balls.
I guess being busy is good. It keeps me from getting distracted by stupid things that don't matter. Basically this is the way i see it. i've got a clean slate and its up to me to do what i want with it. theres no reason why i can't get anything and everything that i want accomplished this summer.

well, tonight was the last night for my lifeguarding class. I passed the final writen test and water test with flying colors. Swam the 500 with no problem. Pretty good for a guy that couldn't swim 100 4 weeks ago. well, now all i have to do is get certicied with the city by taking my water and written test downtown this weekend. After that, i'm done. i will officially be a lifeguard of jefferson county by monday afternoon. lets just hope i'm better at lifeguarding than driving. Lifeguarding might be a little more important. Not really a big window for mistakes. Well, lets hope i don't have to save anyones life. That would really suck. In case anyone is concerned, don't visit the elks lodge in hikes point or breckenridge inn. Come and visit, but don't swim, it could be dangerous. That about wraps it up.

Well, here I am 2 weeks into my summer and i must say that i'm fairly impressed. Its not nearly as bad starting off as I thought it would be. ITs still early, but maybe things will actually work out. Who knows,all I know is that i'm sitting here at my house most days instead of working. Most would say that this is a good thing, but I feel useless. I have to work. IT gives me something to do, and besides, i really need the money. Money is in short supply and I have bills to pay and things to buy. The good news is that i've got my jobs already laid out for the summer. I am definitely lifeguarding at the Elks Lodge close to my house, and a friend of mine is trying to get me a job at Brekenridge Inn. That would be exellent. Well, since i have more time, i ought to update more often, so thats what i'm gonna try to do.
So, on to regular journal business. Tonight was pretty good. Met up with some of the guys at Krispy Kreme and drove to Mary's house where we proceeded to watch Skulls 2. I have to agree with tim on this one, it wasn't that great. It was just like the first one, except worse. There wasn't even a point to this one, and it didn't connect in any way to the old one. WHo knows why they come out with these movies. Oh well, tomorrow night is lifeguard training. WOOHOO, four hours of lecture!!!

its been a while sinceI've updated,so I just wanted to let everyone know that things are going pretty well with me. No complaints so far. How could I complain when i'm already out of school for the summer? 4 months of freedom is gonna be weird. I've never had a summer vacation that has lasted that long before. Oh well, i guess i'll start updating more often now that i have the time. I hope everyone that is going has a great time tonight at Assumptions prom. I know that everyone has been looking forward to it and if it was anything like last years, then it will be a great time. hell, i had a good time even though i was with Amber Petter, so you know its gonna be good.

hey guys,
I haven't updated in a while and I appoligize for that. The last couple of weeks had been really crazy. I was conned into helping the mock trial out in their regional tournament, wo the last two weeks have been spent memorizing pages and pages of case material and direct and cross examinations. We went to regionals this past weekend. They were at Ohio Northern University in Lima, Ohio. Definitely in the middle of nowhere. Bellarmine went with two teams. The first team consisted of most of the seniors. The second team consisted of mostly newcomers. Most of us on the second team had only looked at the case for about 3 weeks while the first team had been competing all year. needless to say, we weren't expected to go very far. Well, the first team didn't even place in the top ten. We, however, went 6 and 2 and won third place in the region. With that third place finish, we won Bellarmine a bid to the national tournament. We even swept the best team in the nation, Miami of ohio, in the last round. The top four teams in the region get a bid. The seniors were upset that they didn't get a bid, but they still have nationals. They are held in Des Moines, Iowa. I am stepping out of mock trial, though. I was more stressed out this past weekend than I have ever been in my entire life. Well, on the upside, Bellarmine gest to keep their streak of being the school with the most consecutive appearances in the national tournament. Its a good thing that they told us that after the whole thing was over. I don't think I could have handled it if I knew that was on the line.

Like I said, i'm sorry i've been out of touch for so long. I'll hopefully see you all soon.

As always, work and school have dominated my schedule for the past week. I am doing my best to keep my head above water. I'm looking forward to taking a break and watching uk play tomorrow night. I think that the cats will be able to continue their streak through at least the next 2 games. I believe that Georgia will be no problem, but then they have a formidable opponent in the Tigers of LSU. I don't know about this one guys. THough I am a UK fan, as always, i will be rooting for my beloved tigers in this match. Dare I say that they should win, i will be giving all of you shit for a very long time. I doubt, though, that the tigers can pull of the kind of amazing win that they had during football season. We'll just have to see.
